Welcome to Webb Ellis!

As the children walked into school this morning they were greeted with rugby balls and the flag of England with the song ‘Sweet Chariot’ playing in the background!  During assembly we celebrated the fact that the Rugby World Cup had finally arrived in England………..and Wales as they are hosting eight of the matches!!!! 😉

I hope that you and your children enjoy the next few weeks of rugby!  Who is the team and player that really ‘digs deep’ and shows GRIT?

Have a great weekend!

A Royal Day!

To mark the milestone of Queen Elizabeth II becoming Britain’s longest serving monarch, Year 5 led a ‘Royal’ assembly for the whole school.  The children also handed out commemorative coins to the school which were generously purchased by our FRoGS (PTA).  A huge Royal ‘wave’ and thank you to all who contributed to today!

Have a safe and fun weekend and I look forward to seeing you all on Monday!

Proud Headteacher!

I am so proud of how all of the children, new and old, have settled so quickly back into Team GUCS.  Behaviour so far has been amazing!!  Ask your children about our new Learning Behaviour.

Don’t forget it’s ‘meet the teacher’ on Tuesday 8th September.  You may choose to attend one of three times:

4.30 – 5pm Presentation 1

5.00 – 5.30pm Presentation 2

5.30 – 6pm Presentation 3

I know Reception class have already had their ‘meet the teacher evening’, however, Mrs Mackie will be available from 3:30pm for any parents who were unable to attend before the summer break.

Lastly, I am looking forward to hearing all of the leadership speeches this week for Grendon’s Pupil Parliament.  Move over Mr. Bercow!

Thank you all for your continued support.
