SEND and Equalities

Grendon Underwood Combined School SEND Report 2017 - 2018
SEND Coffee Mornings

We hold a coffee morning every half term. This is an opportunity for parents of children with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND) to meet and chat. We also welcome parents who are concerned that their child may have an additional need. Some times we will have a specific focus or a visiting speaker and other times we just have the opportunity to share experiences together and offer support.

Our next coffee morning will be on Thursday 7th December at 9am and the focus will be on communication between school and parents of children with SEND and how to increase parental involvement. Please come and join us for a cup of tea or coffee and a mince pie.

Equalities and Cohesion

Equality Objectives Statement

Grendon Underwood School is committed to ensuring equality of provision throughout the school community. To achieve this, our equality objectives 2017 - 2021 are as follows:

  • To promote understanding and respect for differences.
  • To  diminish the difference between pupil premium and non pupil premium children in Reading, Writing and Maths in all year groups.
  • To provide training for all staff and governors on equality and diversity
Welcome to our new website! We are a very GRITTY school in the heart of a rural community, which is also a short drive from Aylesbury and Bicester. Our classes are average for a one form intake but have 15 in our Year 5 class!!
