Year 1 News

This week, the children are impressing us no end with their fantastic story telling. Next week we will be ready to start writing our own stories – we cannot wait! Year 1 have also done really well at counting forwards and backwards in maths.

There are a few things going on over the next week to remember:

Friday 29th September – Macmillan Coffee Morning at 9am.

Tuesday 3rd October – Grandparents afternoon at 2pm.

Wednesday 4th October – Year 1 Story Cafe at 9.15am.

We hope to see as many of you as possible at these events.

Reading is one of the most important things you can do with your child to help them learn. Please try and read with them and to them as much as possible.

Reading books will be coming home tomorrow. Please ensure your child brings them to school with them everyday.
