Our key values, which underpin the way in which we behave, are: Kindness, Courage and Responsibility. We celebrate each one termly by learning in class and in assemblies, through stories and real life examples and via whole school projects. We aim to use these key values every day; they were agreed as the most important to us by the whole Grendon team - children, staff, governors and families.
Each Friday in Celebration Assembly, teachers nominate a child or children in their class for a celebration star - this is for consistently demonstrating one of our key values. Children's names are written in the celebration book and this is read out to the whole school. Children are awarded bronze, silver or gold stars during the year. We love to invite parents and families to celebrate their children's achievement with us: the invitation is made secretly so that children are surprised by their visitors on Friday morning!
If you are invited to the assembly, why don’t you stay for a coffee after dropping your children to school at the Lily-pad cafe? Open from 9-10am every Friday, run by the FROGs (Friends of Grendon School).
